1. General

We We Web is an internet online game server that developed and run personally for people to know each other and play with each other in the cyber world.

1.2    Is it a free site ?

This site is 100% free. The site is 100% financed by the owner's pocket money ~>_<~. The owner hates those paid game sites and just wana provide a gaming place for people have fun.

1.3    How does this site differentiate from the other game site ?

We emphasize on member services and relationships. We developed the games according to members' needs and are welcome to receive comments and suggestions to improve our gaming environment.

1.4    What are the responsibilities of a member ?

The We We Web members should not have any strict obligation. The only responsibilities for a member are: i) come to play when you are free; ii) introduce to your friends if you think this site is good.

1.5    Does We We We have its domain name ?

Yes. Our domain name is WEWEWEB.NET. It has been used for 10 years.

1.6    What is the opening hour of the site ?

The opening hour of the site is 10 am to 2 am (Hong Kong Time),  in order to save some cost due to the low utilization in the late night. Note that the owner is willing to operate the 24 hours non-stop if requested by members and also the utilization in the late night period increases.

1.7    Can I contribute to the We We Web?

First of all, thank you for your interest in helping us. There are a number of ways you can help ($_$).  We hope that you can help us to promote this game site. Or you can help us to develop the home page or improve the graphic work because we are not strong on that field. However, we cannot provide you any dollar value in return as we are running this site non commercially.

2. Connection

Of course you need to have an internet connection and a browser. There are a number of browser in the market. You are recommended to use Netscape 4.06+ for playing the games since we are using it for testing. Of course, you can use IE 4.0+, but we found that there are minor problems in it related to the graphics display function.

2.2    Can I play We We Web behind a firewall or proxy server ?

Theoretically it should work, and some users report that they work on there site. However up to this moment. we still can't make it works successfully behind a proxy (tried using wingate and hhproxy). May be if anyone know the tricks, please feel free to tell use.

2.3    Why can't I see the 'Start Now' button ?

Most likely you are using an outdated browser. If not, completely close the browse (includes all those mail and news windows) and run it again, most of the time this will solve the problem.

2.4    The 'Start Now' button shows 'Please Wait' and disabled after finished loading?

The case is normal has an error message on the browser status bar read like "Applet Starter java.lang.NullPointerException". It is because you are revisit the page b4 or forcing reload the page. The solution is same as 2.3, close the browser and rerun again. One tips to you, if you wana surf the internet during play, you can open an additional window to achieve your objective.

2.5    Can I install WeWeWeb Program on my PC to saving download time?

First of all, WeWeWeb is an online game, so you need to connect to our server. Also, you need to enter the Game by accessing the applet in our webpage. The applet will be downloaded to your PC for every time, though some of the browser provides cache function. However, you can simplify this process by downloading the class file once (a link is provided in the game page), you also need to download the Java RunTime at the Sun's Java WebPage. After install the Java Run Time, in the command prompt (console), type java -jar weweweb-netgame.jar where weweweb-netgame.jar is the class file you have downloaded. Note that you don't need to install any of the weweweb client to your PC, just download it is that all. The only drawback of this method is that it cannot be updated by itself, in other words, you need to download the class file again whenever there is a new version available.

3. Game Lobby

You will see other player icons walking the lobby. However, it is the intention of the designer to make you can't see yourself when walking in the lobby. However you will see your icon after joint a table for game.

3.2    How can I start a game?

To start a game, you must first sit on a table. Table Sitting can be done by clicking on the side of the table you want to sit. Note that depends on the game, a table can have variable number of seat.  If you are the first one to sit on the table, a game selection window will be pop-up for you to select the game. Once the game is selected, it cannot be changed untill the table is completely free. If all seats are occupied, game will start automatically. Otherwise, all players should click on the play button to start the game.

3.3 How to leave a table?

To leave a table in the game room without starting a game, click on the table edge of the side you side. To leave a table with a game (exit game), click on the close window button (this will be modified later to include a specific button).

3.4 How to watch a game?

To watch a game, click on the table side of the player you want to watch. Note that a game must be in progress before you can be a watcher.

In WeWeWeb, there are 6 types of message channel:

1. System channel: used by the system to send information to the user.
2. Error channel: used by the system to send error message to the user.
3. Lobby channel: standard channel when you are not in game.
   
4. Table channel: the standard channel when you are in game.
5. Chat channel: customised channel create by user for group chat.
6. Whisper channel: a private peer to peer channel.

1. To add a new channel or join an existing channel, use: /join <channel> <password>
2. To leave a channel, use: /leave <channel>
3. To invite someone to join a channel (you must be a member of that channel), use: /invite <user> <channel>
4. To see who join a channel, use: /chatwho <channel>
5. To see what channels are in the server, user: /chatwho

• Higher member grade can join more channels. For ordinary member or lower, only one channel can be joined at the same time.
• Members with ordinary grade or lower cannot use the command "/chatwho".
• Members with ordinary grade or lower cannot create password protected chat channel.

1. To list your ignore list, use /ignore.

There are some points to note:

1. The max number of players that can be ignore has a upper bound. (Currently set to 30)
2. You can only ignore online players.
   
3. You cannot ignore privileged user such as system operators.
